This time of the year allows for many get-togethers with those we love. It’s the perfect opportunity to set a beautiful table; one that inspires the simplicity of the seasons. Think gorgeous natural elements like those from the harvest: fruits, vegetables, and pumpkins. There’s so much to work with! Here are some of my favorite tablescapes and how you can get the look for your next gathering.
There’s a chill in the air and depending on where you live, autumn leaves are displaying fantastic golds, reds, and oranges. Fall is here and in full effect! Why not celebrate the season with a few changes to the inside of your home to reflect the changing outside? The vases above would complement autumn’s colors perfectly, as would any of the items below.
It could easily be argued that the title of this post should be “Fall is Here”, since it is already October and much of the Northern Hemisphere is starting to experience cooler temperatures. In Central Texas, where I live, that means highs in the 80s and lows in the 50s—not exactly fire building weather, but there will be more than a few cold evenings here as the year continues. Which is why I’m already thinking ahead about fireplaces and fire pits, and why I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you.
Though I dread fall—it means a long winter ahead—I find the fall holidays to be cozy and beautiful. Halloween, for example, incorporates natural elements like pumpkins and gourds to create unique home décor. Though Halloween can be taken in a creepy direction, I prefer to celebrate the fall harvest by using rich color schemes. Here are some of my favorite projects for the Halloween season.
