We came, we saw and we saw some more….art that is! Art Basel Miami is a highlight of our year, not only because we get to participate in some beautiful events such as “Refuge” (a collaboration between Architectural Digest, Caesarstone and 1 Hotel South Beach but also because it allows us an opportunity to view some amazing artwork. Above you see a piece from 20th century Spanish painter Joan Miró. Here are some of the pieces that caught our eye.
We would like to know…
Natural and industrial materials and structures meet in this beautiful installation.
Subtle colors and three-dimensional shapes give this piece a compelling geometry. Just try to look away!
Here’s another three-dimensional piece, reminiscent of a loom come to life. We love how so many artists used natural-feeling materials to create structurally complex pieces.
Needless to say, it was a very illuminating weekend. We caught a glimpse of art trends to come and enjoyed some great company at the Refuge exhibit. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. Can’t wait for next year!
