A few days ago we shared the exciting news that Caesarstone would be joining with our partners Variety & WWD in the first annual StyleMakers event on November 19, 2016. Well, we did and boy was it a hit!
This year’s honorees included fashion designer Zac Posen, costume designer Lyn Paolo, stylist Elizabeth Stewart, hair stylist Jen Atkin, make-up artist Lisa Eldridge, photographer Matthew Rolston and style icon Frieda Pinto. The honorees were introduced by the celebrities who rely on their talents – and this year’s presenters were an accomplished group, indeed. They included Katie Holmes, Kerry Washington, Viola Davis, Kourtney Kardashian, Kelsey Grammer, and more.
Caesarstone tables and bars were chosen to cater to the star-studded list of talented attendees. In addition, red carpet walkers signed Caesarstone samples, which will collectively be made into a mosaic, designed by the gifted interior designer and television personality, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, and auctioned off to support the LA Kitchen.
After the red carpet and Caesarstone signing, the gala began. Guests dined on such delectable edibles as ruby red grapefruit salad and olive oil-poached chicken breasts whilst speeches and discussions of some of the most passionate talents in the industry occurred on stage.
“Our show [Scandal] isn’t about fashion for fashion’s sake,” said Paolo of the series’ oft-coveted costumes, namely those of Washington’s protagonist Olivia Pope. “It’s a show about real people.”
“I’m humbled and honored to be part of this fantastic array of talents,’ says Posen. “It’s remarkable that two epic and innovative publications such as WWD and Variety have come together to celebrate the transformative power of fashiontainment.”
Stay tuned for more information on the autographed Caesarstone mosaic and how you can bid to benefit the LA Kitchen this holiday season. Slabs are signed by many of the presenters and honorees, as well as even more celebrities & stylists like Olivia Holt, Cara Santana, Cat Saddler, Gray Malin, Jeannie Mai, Holley Wolfe and more.
