Hexagon Tile Floors in the Bathroom

Bathrooms have become masterpieces in their own right. Great bathroom design, in a well designed home, is like foam to a perfect latte. It should go hand in hand. I’ve been working on a few bathroom remodels and both are taking my breath away. And can I tell you what my favorite detail in both bathrooms is? Hexagon tiles! It’s all the rage right now. But the great thing about hexagon tiles is that they have been all the rage for years and years. My friends 1920’s bungalow has the most perfect hexagon tiles on the floor, original to the home.

One way to modernize the classic hexagon is to choose a larger scale hexagon tile. The above bathroom has 8x8 tiles with white grout. It’s such a classic yet modernized look.

If you want something more colorful, these muted hexagons are a great option! And they look fantastic with the white and silver details.

For a fun look, create large hexagon shapes using the small hexagon tiles. You could even add color to this look

Hexagon tiles look great as the floor option as well as the shower floor. These tiles can be paired with square, circle, rectangular...pretty much any other shape that you need!
