Buffets have come a long way in the last few years. You now can find just about any style, shape, size and color of buffet that you desire. I am personally a buffet fanatic - I have one in almost every room of my house! They offer great storage solutions as well as tabletop room for vignettes. In my opinion, a well-styled room should and can consist of a beautiful buffet/sideboard.

The classic place for a buffet is in the dining room. It’s an easy storage solution for dishes and other dining needs. It’s also a great place to display your favorite items and create a beautiful vignette.

Hallways are another great location to display a buffet. You can use it for linen storage and other knick-knacks. Display art or photography on the surface, add some decorative items, and you have a beautiful thing happening!

When decorating a buffet, stick with a simple color palette for a modern, clean look. Above we see a three-color palette of grey, white and gold. Perfection!

And you never have to go overboard on the surface. Keep it simple with just a few items displayed and one piece of art or a mirror hung over the buffet. The buffet itself is a fantastic addition to any space.

Do you own a buffet? Is this a trend that you are seeing more and more of?
