Decorating with Dark Walls in the Bathroom

by ·

Bathrooms were never meant to be ignored, forgotten about, or looked over. In fact, bathrooms can become design masterpieces. Since we do spend a good amount of time in our bathroom, why not make it beautiful! We all know that to reno an entire bathroom, we would almost have to take out a loan. It’s sometimes just not possible. But luckily there are details that we can incorporate that can change a space. My favorite decorating moment right now is deep, dark walls. We see them a lot in bedrooms and living rooms. Why not try them in the bathroom!

Above we see a wall partially painted a dark tone. It’s just enough to give off a dramatic, deep look that makes this space look like a million bucks!

Here is another partial wall paint job. The dark color makes the white tile pop! It also makes the brass stand out.

Here we see an entire room painted a deep bluish grey. The bathroom has great natural light so there’s no gloomy dark color in site.

If dark colors scare you, try it on the ceiling. It still creates a dramatic look without taking over your walls.

Dark walls are the new chevron. Embrace them! They are awesome.
