White Wood Paneled Walls

Interior Design has come along way since the 70’s and 80’s. Some of the worst design happened in those years. But one thing that is back, and even better and cooler, is wood paneling. Wood paneling is one of those design elements that brings texture and interest to a space. Whether it’s left in its original wood tone or painted a bright color, wood paneling can warm up a space just as quickly as a fuzzy throw blanket. Right now, I am loving white painted paneling. It’s a modern take on the classic paneling.

Though painted in creamy color, the wood paneling seen above still adds ambience and dimension to the living space. It also looks cozy beside the rock fireplace.

This dining room has both a rustic and modern feel. The paneled walls bring in a little country while the clean floors and modern lighting keep the space from looking dated.

This accent wall would make a great addition to an entryway or hallway. I also love the mix of the wood and metal sideboard. It keeps things interesting.

If you have old wood paneling in your own space, remember that a coat of white will make things a million times better! Don’t be afraid to take that next step and paint that boring wood.
