Designer Spotlight | Jae Omar Design
Sublime luxury, exceptional design, clean and simple lines, extraordinary materials, and endless attention to detail: It’s what homeowners come to expect from the work of Jae Omar, one of Southern California’s most popular designers among celebrity and A-list clients.
We’re proud to have the honor of working with such a distinguished name in the industry on a number of projects. His work has been featured on numerous TV shows, as well as in publications like Interior Design magazine, Architectural Digest, Contract magazine, Las Vegas Home and Design, Brentwood, Palm Springs Life, California Home & Design, and Phoenix Home & Design to name a few.
While maintaining an active interior design business, Omar has recently completed work on an exclusive collection of sculptural vessel sinks, each hand crafted from Caesarstone Premium Quartz and Distributed by Sonobath. (Available through architects, interior designers and designated retail kitchen and bath retailers.)
One of his most recent projects is a Malibu home: With stunning views, modern lines and clever use of light, this project has custom detail around every corner: the telltale mark of Omar’s designs.
Take a tour of the fantastic space below.
"I'm in constant awe of how elements in nature are so fiercely independent and yet so completely inter-dependent. The sky, mountains, sand and trees: Each part not only survives within but contributes to the delicate balance of the larger picture. My entire life in design is trying to achieve that."
Omar chose Caesarstone to use with the highly architectural, sculptural sinks.
"Each sink is engineered to create a new dimension in water and stone, so it was critical to find a highly durable, slab-based surface that is clean, simple and consistent, with colors that embrace the essence of the designs," he says.
The sleek look of our countertop transitions seamlessly into the sloped sink.
Adjacent to the kitchen Omar created a statement-making feature wall. Using Caesarstong Concrete vertically, the wall makes for a clever way to display the owner’s wine collection.
But the kitchen isn’t the only area that boasts quartz countertops: The incredible master bath utilizes Caesarstone Blizzard countertops to contrast the rich wood and create a relaxing, luxurious oasis.
We can’t get enough of these views!
Omar’s conceptual approach to solving design challenges makes it easy to cater to clients who like to customize every detail of their space.
