Designer Spotlight | Whittney Parkinson Design
Interior architectural designer, principal of her own design firm, wife, and mom – the uber talented Whittney Parkinson does it all…and then some! Whittney’s love for design runs deep. The daughter of an architect and an interior designer, Whittney was taking field trips to construction sites for as long as she can remember and it was this exposure that sparked her passion for interiors. Together with her father, Whittney co-owned the architecture firm MAWR Design from 2008-2016 before founding Whittney Parkinson Design. Bringing together her background and education in art with interior design and architecture, Whittney brings a unique approach to the design process and prides herself on achieving timeless and effortless design.
Whittney has designed projects varying from high end residential, to a vast array of multi-million dollar commercial projects around the Midwest. But enough with our chitter chatter…take a look for yourself!
If every laundry room looked like this, we’d never complain about doing the wash! This Ann Sacks backsplash tile and Pure White counters perfectly complement the rich, navy cabinetry while still keeping the space bright and airy.
There’s something so serene, yet glamorous about an all-white color palette, complete with Pure White countertop and vanity. We like to think we’re not that vain, but we could stare into those white oak custom mirrors for hours on end!
We’re a sucker for subway tile, especially when it’s paired so impeccably with these deep blue cabinets, rustic lighting detail, durable Fresh Concrete counters and farmhouse sink. It’s enough to have us falling head over heels in love with this bathroom!
From the cabinetry to the wallpaper, this play room bath has us green with envy! The Pure White countertop really pops against the soothing, organic color palette.
Have an extra room you’re not sure what to do with? Why not create a craft room! Whittney created the most family-friendly design by using durable Alpine Mist counters and a mix of drawers and open shelving for all your tools.
