As a purveyor of all things countertop, we have to start in the kitchen! And what a kitchen this is. A slab of uninterrupted Frosty Carrina centers the kitchen and matches the white cabinetry – no doubt full of delectable goodies and certainly stuffed with charm. The Texas charm is infused in the weathered-wood stools and artwork bookmarking the kitchen windows.
The distressed wood aesthetic carries into the living room décor, framed by a dark statement wall. Take note world travelers, subtly show off your worldly finds with an open bookshelf and hanging map, like this Texan family!
Art gallery walls are difficult to accomplish. Don’t believe us? Pinterest has thousands of how-to pins on this topic! Yet J. Bryant Boyd masterfully decorated this entryway, showing off both Texas charm and wanderlust décor. Best practices for those not on Pinterest: use different sized art pieces to add interest while maintaining overall balance. For entry tables, use objects of different heights to vary the vignette silhouette.
Tip-toe down the hall and we find ourselves in front of adjoined studies; a his and hers, office style. And when absolutely focus is necessary, olden pocket doors section off each space for privacy. These offices are the perfect example of new tech meets old world charm.
Speaking from obsession, we love the dark wall trend happening right now. What better way to highlight the lights and brights in the room than with a matte, dark wall color? Against the dark gray paint, the artistic photography really stands out!
Even the backyard is country-charming with a fire pit and fairy lights. We won’t be in to work tomorrow- you can find us roasting marshmallows on this patio.
