Creating a lively, vibrant entertaining space has always been at the top of my list. When guests come over, I don’t want to bore them with a plain space, but rather wow them with a stylish one. .Because our taste in color and style can change frequently, it’s important to add character in pieces that don’t cost a fortune to change. That is why rugs are a perfect way to showcase color and pattern. Incorporating colorful rugs into the dining room is a fantastic solution for a boring space.

I love how the flowers in the above image play off of the rug. Everything surrounding these pops of color are elegant and neutral, allowing the rug to set a fabulous mood in this room.

We see in this image that the blue tones in the rug allow for the blue in the art pieces to pop out. Blue is not only a soothing color, but also one that doesn’t easily get old or tainted in a space.

Everything in this room works seamlessly together. The deep colors and bold prints in this rug match perfectly with the wall color and wooden tones. It’s like everything was meant to be!

When you have a neutral room like this, you can go crazy and have fun with the rug. This red rug looks perfect placed in this space. It instantly creates a cozy feel in an otherwise cold room.

Do you like this look? Would you ever have a colorful rug in your dining room?
