Looking for a way to make your home décor more interesting? Painted ceilings are a fun and budget-friendly way to create personality in any space. I wanted to bring some color into my powder bathroom but didn’t want to paint over the white walls, so I opted to painted the ceiling in a mint green. The outcome was beautiful.

This cool dining room (above) would be a normal, white space without the pop of green on the ceiling. It also makes the light fixture stand out.

If you need some convincing to get out of bed in the mornings, try painting your ceiling a bold color. It will bring in some energy to get you going on those early mornings. You can also use that color to complement other elements of your room.

For an even bolder approach, paint a pattern on your ceiling. This sunburst ceiling creates a fun first impression for guests to see when entering this home. The gold used on the ceiling also complements the lighting and wood tones.

I know that, personally, I will always love bright white walls. It makes my art and furniture stand out. But if I ever get in the mood for some more color, ceilings are a fun choice. And remember, if you don’t like it, paint over it. Paint is a temporary fix for any problem!

Which ceiling would you paint in your home?
