Nothing sticks out like a sore thumb as much as a giant TV in your living space. There are certainly ways to hide the fact that you have a large, black, plastic monster sitting in your room. We certainly can’t give up TVs all together! Here are a few functional ideas to display your TV in a stylish way.
Above we see a TV resting on a simple, modern console unit that looks more fab than flab. The owner has created a sophisticated room that also looks homey enough to watch your favorite show.

If you are in need of storage space to display your valuables, use a shelving system to also display your TV. This way you have the best of both worlds. Above we see a rustic bookcase decorated with baskets, books and other accessories. The TV has become the second reason that you are looking at that area.

Some people opt to place their TV above their fireplace. The great thing about this idea is that you now have your two favorite elements within close distance—a cozy fire and a favorite movie. If you want to take it a step further, cover your TV with a custom frame or media box to hide it when you are not enjoying it.

I love the media console table shown above. I also love the fact that this particular TV has disappeared in a sea of beautiful art! Which becomes my last tip… If you want your TV to truly hide away, include it in a giant art wall. Make sure you add dark frames and art so that it’s not sticking out in a light space.
What are your thoughts on masking your own TV in your home?

I was wondering where i can find the first white media console and the last one. I love them both but it doesn’t give a website to find it at!
