Designs Trends of 2016: Metallics
Want to get started on refreshing your home’s style this year? Consider incorporating metallic pieces into your aesthetic. Predicted to be quite trendy for 2016, metal can be subtly gorgeous when used as a neutral or accent---although, if wall-to-wall bling is your thing, by all means go for it! For the more cautious among us, start with using metal as an accent and see where it takes you.
If Pop Art had a living room, it would probably look something like this. The sculptured silver table is dramatic and eye-catching against the gray walls and adds some contemporary funkiness, while the pops of yellow keep the design cozy and fun.
Go for the gold! There’s something super upscale and classic about the combination of mirrored surfaces and metallics. Doesn’t this bathroom look like it belongs in Versailles? The range of golden shades keeps things visually interesting and modern.
Metallics make a big statement in even the most unexpected places. Here, a coat of gold paint on the ceiling with matching chandelier elevates the design to new levels of luxe.

Any one of these pieces could be incorporated into your existing design for an extra bit of sparkle.
