Fresh New Year's Eve Décor to Welcome 2014 in Style

As someone who is all about fresh starts, resolutions and spring-cleaning, New Years is one of my favorite holidays! I also thoroughly enjoy decorating for New Years. It’s fun to play off of what has already been used to decorate for Christmas and add sparkles for a little glitz and glam. It’s also the perfect opportunity to create a minimalist celebration space, bring in blacks, whites and of course some gold and silver.
The anchor of the decorated space above is black, which really allows for the metallics to pop. They’ve also introduced charcoal grey, which gives off a warm and cozy vibe for that cold NYE night.

For the opposite approach to your NYE celebration, decorate using all whites and sparkly lights. A fun idea to incorporate into your existing Christmas tree or branches is to have each guest write down their New Years resolutions and place them on the tree. It will force everyone to put their thinking caps on and do something celebratory in honor of the new season approaching.

Stars and twinkle lights make everything festive and fun. Decorate by scattering paper stars around your space or by hanging Christmas/patio lights in your home. Remember, it doesn’t need to be perfect.

I love this color palette! If you ask me, bronze makes everything better so why not mix in a few bronze details with gold, white and black? And again, don’t forget about the twinkle lights. Once the sun goes down, it will create the perfect glow.
Are you hosting New Years Eve this year? Will you decorate your home?
