Our Return to The Red Carpet | Oscars 2015
Another successful year at the Oscars – congratulations to all the nominees and especially the winners! Although we didn’t take home a tiny statue, we still felt like winners this year. Celebrities schmoozed at the Calacatta Nuvo bar in the Architectural Digest Greenroom, stars dressed in our favorite Caesarstone colors, and we took our Interior Design Style Quiz so many times that we received ALL the Oscar styles!
We’re honored to be part of the Oscars’ Architectural Digest Greenroom again. The 2015 Greenroom is designed by Los Angeles-based Commune Design and Oscar-winning actress Julianne Moore and featured a Calacatta Nuvo bar for serving the presenters and winners celebratory cocktails.
Lucky for us, the camera set up in the Greenroom faced right towards the bar so we had many opportunities to sneak into the frame for a #Photobomb. Check out the one above with Lupita Nyong’o looking delighted to share a shot with us!
The red carpet played its part well, boasting beautiful fashion on attractive people – what could be more fun? We brought the best of fashion into the interior design realm by playing #WhoWoreItBetter with celebrities vs. Caesarstone. Although many actors wore Caesarstone colors – it’s difficult to compete with beautiful people and haute couture. Visit our Twitter page to see all of our favorite outfits – including host’s Neil Patrick Harris Sleek Concrete colored tuxedo!
A reporter stated during the Oscar’s Red Carpet that red was the color of the evening – so we had to constrain ourselves from comparing all the actresses (and even actors!) to Red Shimmer. But here is one of the ones we couldn’t let slip through: Fifty Shades of Grey’s Dakota Johnson in Saint Laurent.
Best Actress winner and Greenroom designer, Julianne Moore, wowed the crowd in a custom Chanel gown, designed personally by Karl Lagerfeld. Intricate and detailed, we had to compare this masterpiece with Lace Motivo.
Birdman received tons of recognition and even though Michael Keaton didn’t get to take home Best Actor, he was celebrated for this incredible role. His tux might be a simple black and white combo, but it’s a perfect balance of personality and style, just like Vanilla Noir.
The adorable Marion Cotillard had eyes glued to her all night, wearing Dior. Although she didn’t take home an Oscar, she is a staple in most of the best-dressed lists we’ve seen so far! A textile, 3D pattern – the perfect match for Motivo Crocodile in white.
And if you haven’t played our Oscar-celeb Interior Design Style Game yet, you still have time! See which star shares your style with just a few clicks!
