White Washed Floors That Are Effortlessly Chic

A trend that we are seeing more and more frequently in flooring is white washed wood floors. It’s a natural approach that has caught the attention of many homeowners. What I love about this trend is that it’s neither too bright nor too dull. It creates the right balance for allowing your walls, furniture, and decor to be showcased. And for those who are looking for a low maintenance floor without sacrificing style, this is the solution. These floors hide dirt like no ones business!

Above we see wide planked floors that are subtle and pleasing to the eye. You can also see that white washed floors look great with darker woods as well as white and black.

This super cool space is a great example of how well patterned, colorful rugs look on top of these floors. It also shows how light and airy a space can feel just because of white walls and white washed floors. Natural light loves these spaces.

Here’s another great space that shows off beautiful, organically simple floors. This floor might be too rustic for some, but for others is answer to their flooring problems.

White washed floors are very easy to maintain and as said before, easy to keep clean. In this space the owner has introduced a white washed floor outside of the kitchen, which is a great alternative to a carpeted space. It’s both kid and pet friendly.

What are your thoughts about this flooring trend? Do you have white washed floors?
