Designer Spotlight | Kendall Ansell Interiors
Unique. Expressive. Custom. These are the words that come to mind when we think of Kendall Ansell Interiors, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Principal designer Kendall Ansell isn’t your average cookie-cutter designer. Instead of focusing on fleeting trends, Kendall creates a visual interpretation of her clients’ lifestyles. During the design process, she figures out how the renovations can complement her clients’ day-to-day lives.
You could say that design was in Kendall’s genes, as she grew up spending most of her weekends helping her contractor father with family projects. Her childhood passion inspired her to study architecture and interior design in college and ultimately led to a full-time career in design. Kendall launched Cherry Interior Design in 2010 and rebranded to Kendall Ansell Interiors in 2013. Her goal is simple: to help her clients reflect their personal style through interior design.

The classic combination of black and white gets a boost of modern flair in this kitchen design. The large windows, high vaulted ceiling and skylights allow light to fill the room with warmth and brightness. The neutral color palette used is complemented by the bold backsplash and minimalist range hood. Classic white Calacatta Nuvo countertops enhance the sophisticated style of the kitchen and balance out the black-on-black island. Meanwhile, the Vanilla Noir kitchen island serves as a bold and sleek centerpiece.

Design Tip: Use two-tone countertops to add interest to a room. The contrast between the two colors draws your eye around the room and makes a huge visual impact.

The open wooden shelves are elegant and double as extra storage space. All of the Caesarstone countertops sit atop cabinets, making this kitchen both stylish and practical.
Kendall Ansell Interiors always uses Caesarstone for their quartz needs due to its versatility in color and style. While the designer gravitates towards neutral color palettes, she is certainly not afraid of pops of color and pattern, as demonstrated by the large, flowing pattern in the Turbine Grey countertops and cool teal-colored cabinets used in the design above.
Kendall’s designs are completely custom and are based on each of her client’s needs. This white and grey kitchen with Alpine Mist countertops projects sophistication and simplicity. It just goes to show that you can have your cake and eat it, too!
These glass cabinets add dimension to the space and make sure the gorgeous dinnerware inside are displayed front and center.
Whether you’re looking for elegant and chic or bold and eccentric, Kendall Ansell Interiors will be sure to turn your design dreams into a reality.
