Designer Spotlight | Powell Construction
Powell Construction in Oregon’s mid-Willamette Valley, co-owned by Tom and Heidi Powell, offers clients a unique combo of quality custom construction and dynamic design under one umbrella. Working with a team of talented designers and skilled remodelers, Powell Construction creates designs that enhance their clients’ lives and exceed their expectations. They’re also big fans of Caesarstone countertops, which they’ve used extensively and inventively in kitchen and bath designs. Above you see a kitchen island topped with Blizzard countertops accented by a custom table that can converts into a freestanding table with the addition of a leg. This means the table can be relocated anywhere in the house depending on necessity. Genius!
Here’s another look at Powell Construction’s custom table-kitchen island design. Not only a truly unique design, it’s an ingenious way to maximize space.
We’re not done yet! As if the modular table weren’t enough, Powell Construction created a three level kitchen island. The lower level is Calcutta marble which constracts beautifully with the stain-and-scratch resistant Blizzard countertops make up the mid-level. The custom table is the third.
Now let’s move on from a stunning kitchen to an equally amazing bathroom. Powell Construction used Pebble counters in this inviting, spa-like master bath. We’re not sure what we love most about this design---the glass mosaic tile behind the vanity, the custom mirrors, or that amazing walk-in shower.
This kitchen design was featured on the cover of Willamette Living Magazine and no wonder! It’s gorgeous. Looking at this bright and airy space, it’s hard to believe it was once a cramped and date d 1990s oak-paneled kitchen. The backsplash was custom made out of architectural glass to make it easy to care for. It also looks amazing with the Oyster countertops
Finally, here’s something we don’t often see: Oyster surfacing by Caesarstone being used as a surround for the Craftsman-style fireplace in the dining room. This element ties the dining room design in with the kitchen design for a seamless whole that preserves the original architectural elements while giving them a modern update.
Thank you to Powell Construction for sharing their designs with us. It is truly spectacular work.
