Designer Spotlight | Snug Kitchens
Today we’re heading across the pond to pay homage to British interior design firm Snug Kitchens, who have both the most amazing name and an incredible aesthetic. Though you don’t generally associate modern design with England, this Snug Kitchen design is located in the heart of Winchester. The sleek design has a lot of Asian and mid-century Californian influence (love the neutral Shitake counters by Caesarstone), but this kitchen is actually located in an old Victorian-style home.
Here is a better look at the generous island and wood-paneled walls surrounding the ovens. We love how much natural light is flooding into this open space due to the skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows at the rear of the room.
The breakfast bar is made from oiled Walnut wood, offering a link between the woodsier colors of the kitchen and the brightness of the living area.
We see a lot of kitchen photos and we can tell you, it’s all about the details. The contrast between the Shitake worktop and oak cabinets is stunning in its simplicity.
Caesarstone makes a starring appearance in the Snug Kitchen showroom in Newbury, as well. Here are two Shitake-topped islands showing the versatility of the color and flexibility of the surface material. It’s always wonderful seeing Caesarstone used in such elegant design. If you’re looking for a new kitchen in the south of England, send a message to Snug Kitchens.
