How To Bring The Inside Outdoors

by ·

The weather is getting warmer and it’s about that time to start thinking about outdoor living. There’s nothing better than outdoor living and entertaining! Especially when you have the right set up. Around April/May is when I start taking all of our outdoor furniture out of storage and cleaning it up. I’ve learned how to set up a functional outdoor living space correctly over the last few years. Here’s a few tips and tricks that will make you prepared for just about anything!

  1. Eating and dining outside can be a treat! Find furniture that is washable and easy to maintain. Especially when you have little kiddos eating with you. Also, don’t be afraid of mixing furniture styles and designs. I love mixing modern with traditional, or mid century with bohemian.

  1. Make sure that you have a cozy seating area for your guests to lounge. I love styling my patio like I would my living room, complete with a coffee table, sofas and side chairs. We spend so much time outside that it makes sense for us to live part time outside!

  1. Stringed patio lights will never go out of style! They create a fun, festive look that completes your outdoor space! And it adds the perfect sparkle at night.

  1. Plants are an obvious but important detail! Add plants throughout your outdoor living space for pops of color and texture. I normally fill my entire patio with plants.

Happy decorating!
