If Kari Whitman looks familiar, it’s because you just may have seen her before. Having appeared in over 60 TV shows and films, she is no stranger to the camera. However, it’s a love of design that continues to fill most of her days. From city condos to grand estates, Kari Whitman combines her many lives and passions to create luxe but livable spaces.

As a celebrity interior designer and television personality, Kari’s acting roots are always close at hand. Even her client list reads like a who’s who of Hollywood—Jessica Alba, Kristen Bell, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas to name a few. Kari also continues her work in television with several design-related shows in development. Past projects include WE’s Designer to the Stars, which was both hosted and produced by Kari, and an appearance as featured designer on The Discovery Channel’s The Dude Room.

Known for her trademark eclectic style, Kari Whitman’s work can be found throughout the country as well as the covers of popular publications. The elegant and inviting spaces she’s created have been featured in Luxury Home Quarterly, ASID Magazine, Avenues, and American Builder’s Quarterly. The projects range from glitzy and dramatic to cozy and transitional—each reflecting the homeowner’s tastes with a dash of Kari’s sophistication.

With specialties in eco- and pet-friendly design, a large part of Kari’s work is dedicated to making spaces that are healthy, livable, and environmentally guilt-free. Solutions include faux-leather upholstery, antiques, and even salvaged wood from Stanford University’s basketball court. In 2008, she combined her love of the environment, dogs, and design to create Greener Pup, a line of eco-friendly dog beds. All profits went to supporting her foundation, Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue. It’s just another way in which Kari brings together her passions and past experiences.

Desiré is a designer, blogger, and lover of all things glamorous. Though primarily a self-taught decorator, Desiré studied at The Art Institute, where she honed a distinct aesthetic largely influenced by the Modern Glamour movement, the theme of her popular design blog, Sukio. Not only is she considered a "closet fashionista," discreetly stashing handbags and shoes whenever possible, but, as an MIT graduate, she’s also an undercover nerd. Fashion, nerdom, and several years as a Washingtonian have combined to shape her unique perspective on interior design.
