Getting Personal with Pastels in the Bedroom

Everyone wants to retire at night to a calm, tranquil space. Well, at least I would imagine that everyone would want to. When my husband and I moved into our home, I immediately decorated our bedroom, knowing that other parts of the house would be a little chaotic and I would want to sleep somewhere more peaceful.
One way to create that serene bedroom is to introduce soft pastels to your space. The easiest way to do this is by choosing accessories in a pastel hue. But to give your space a little more pizazz, consider painting a wall in pastel. A soft pink is always a great choice because it can be paired with other masculine colors like grey, brown and black.
If you are not keen on this look, try adding one simple pastel blanket. The space above has a light blue blanket on the edge of the bed and that simple detail adds such prettiness to this room.

Here is another example of adding pastels to your bedding, and another instance that pink can be used in a female AND male space. Also, grey is the best color to pair with any pastel color. Try using it with green, blue or even violet.
However you choose to add a little pastel to your space, remember that it does best unpaired with bright, bold colors. Keep it simple, clean and serene!
Are you a fan of pastels? How would you add it to your bedroom?
