Stylish Sideboards

There is one piece of furniture that constantly makes me swoon. Sideboards and buffets are God’s gift to design. They come in all shapes and sizes. You can find modern versions and traditional versions. They work well in living spaces, dining spaces, entryways and even bedrooms. Not only can they be used to display your favorite accessories but also they can double as TV consoles.

The simple sideboard, seen above, brings a modern touch to this fun living space. The wood is on point and the legs are fantastic.

Plants are one of the best items to accessorize your sideboard. Create a collection of plants or just use a few to add color and dimension. The dark wood on this buffet brings warmth against the white wall, while the plants add life.

You cannot go wrong with a white, modern sideboard. Any and every accessory is welcomed. The white allows art and decorative items to pop and stand out.

When decorating your sideboard, use odd numbers of accessories like three items on one side and five items on the other side. Also, use a variety of heights to bring interest to the vignette. Create a look that is timeless and enjoyable for days to come.

What are your thoughts on sideboards? How would you decorate yours?
