House Tour | Basso Interiors, Inc

When you want to escape your busy city life, where do you run off to? The owners of this Vail Village condo made their home-away-from-home in the snowy mountains of Colorado and enlisted the help of Elizabeth Basso of Basso Interiors, Inc to decorate. The full- service design firm had the task of making a cozy, casual home for the family yet elegant so they could entertain- we think she succeeded! Take a look for yourself.

The condo has an open- floor concept in which the kitchen, dining room, and living room are all in one large space. Basso brought the kitchen to life by installing new cabinet doors and countertops. She chose the color Linen by Caesarstone to match the muted colors of the original travertine backsplash which helped lift the space instantly.

What’s an entertainment home without an island? It gives you more storage, more counter space, and more places to sit, so naturally Basso added an island here. She extended the beautiful Linen countertop past the cabinets to allow people to sit and mingle in the kitchen.

In order to add more color to the space, Basso styled the living and dining rooms with accents of blue and pink- even the flowers match the pillows! Like the rest of the room, the living room has a lot of space for the whole family to hang out or for guests to spread out.

The couch is situated around a cozy fireplace, the perfect place to unwind after playing in the snow. The stone wall around the fireplace matches the tones of the kitchen backsplash, tying the room together perfectly.

Now let’s head over to the bedrooms. Every detail is accounted for- Basso kept the blue and pink theme throughout the hallway!

The master bedroom is complete with bedside tables and yes, of course, pink and blue decorations. This is the perfect place to unwind after a day with friends and family.

The master bathroom has a more rustic feel to it with the dark wood cabinets and mirror. They are after all in the mountains!

The kids’ bedroom has a set of matching bunk beds that kept with the theme of dark wood with blue decorations. Not something you’d typically see in the city!

We also love this little snow covered tree for decoration!

For getaway homes, it’s a great idea to have a double- sink spare bathroom to help the family get ready for snow days faster!

We love what Basso Interiors, Inc did with this Vail Village condo! Can we be invited to a dinner party there?
