Chunky sweaters are a classic staple to cold weather closets. They become a necessity in these winter months and the beautiful knit details that each one offers compliment outfits perfectly. These sweaters can be dressed up for a party or dressed down for a casual outing. They can also be paired with other textures and patterns.

Translate this style trend to home design and you have a cozy, stylish space that has warmth and character. How do I add these elements, you ask? The easiest way to add this texture to a space is with pillows, blankets, and throws.

The bedroom shown above proves how brilliant it is to add sweater elements to your bedroom space. Who wouldn’t want to jump into this bed for a nice, long, winter nap?! This room is also an example of how easy it is to mix textures without feeling too out of balance.

For a simple yet meaningful touch, decorate with a simple sweater throw blanket. Use a color that compliments yet stands out on the piece that you are decorating. Another easy way to use this trend is in throw pillows. Mix them in with your normal pillows to make what you already own a little cozier!

This image is the perfect concluding example. These pillows and throws create an extremely stylish room. Something to note about this trend is that it doesn’t create a dark and dreary look but instead a light, airy yet cozy look. I’m completely on board!

What are your thoughts with this trend? Would you decorate using sweater accessories?
