SPOTLIGHT ON: Christine Ubbink

Interior designer Christine Ubbink may be based in laidback Fresco, CA, but her tastefully curated spaces are nothing short of uptown style.

The California State University, Fresno alum honed her design skills by crafting spaces with major firms like SIM Architects, Facility Designs and Gary McDonald Homes before launching her own full-service, eponymous commercial and residential design firm in 2009 and her knack for creating highly-styled yet livable spaces has garnered her both regional and national attention.

Whether she’s designing a space for a Bay-Area beauty salon, mapping out a classroom for her alma mater or showing off her skills on HGTV’s Showhouse Showdown, there’s one thing the designer keeps in mind when creating a space—comfort. “I’m Inspired by the satisfaction that comes from knowing a space gives comfort while serving its unique purpose” says Christine, adding “ I approach each project with new enthusiasm.”
